Local Artist Market @ Whole Foods

It's that time of month again... to buy local!

I will be at the Whole Food's Local Artist Market this Saturday, June 4. Take note of the *new* times. There will be live music on the patio by a local band called The Goodland. I personally haven't heard of them, but I've only been in Santa Barbara for just under a year now. There will also be free Kid's Yoga class (anyone can join!) starting at 11am. On a side note: I did yoga and Pilates for the first time during my senior year of college, and I really enjoyed it. If I had the opportunity to take classes again, I definitely would! It's so invigorating.

As of today, weather.com is telling me that Saturday's high is 61 degrees and rainy... I can't believe it! That would make it three times in a row that the first Saturday of the month's weather decides to be cold and dreary. I'm keeping my hopes up, though. I have a handful of new designs that I'm really excited about; many of which will not be up for sale on Etsy until after the Whole Food's event.

Lanikai

I may be a little biased but the Windward side of Oahu is so lovely. It rains seemingly everyday, leaving the land green and lush. As much as I love my Kaneohe, Kailua is beautiful as well. The long, white sand beaches are perfect for romantic walks or relaxing jogs along the shore. Kalama beach and Kailua beach are nice, but Lanikai beach has calm, captivating blue-green crystal clear waters.

The Lanikai Pillbox hike is one of my favorite easy hikes on Oahu. Once you make it to the pillboxes at the top, you are treated to a beautiful view of the Mokulua islands just off the shore, Kailua's white sand beaches to your left, and Waimanalo's stretch of shoreline to your right.

I donated a couple of my Moonlit Ocean Earrings to be raffled off! Stop by East Beach to watch the paddling races hosted by Ka Nai'a. Thousands of paddlers from around the southern California coast will be participating in the event. While you're waiting for the canoes to reach the finish line, head over to the raffle booth to buy raffle tickets to help support Ka Nai'a. The grand prize is a stand up paddle board, paddle included! Each prize raffled off is worth at least $30, and most are accompanied by a bottle of Ocean Potion sunscreen. You never can have too much sunscreen (:

I've been so extremely busy that I haven't really had time to post or design new jewelry in the last week. It makes me sad. Luckily, I'll be selling my jewelry this upcoming Saturday at another event! I will have a few new creations that I made the week before.

Reds was the first bar that the boyfriend and I visited since moving to Santa Barbara, so I'm pretty excited to be able to sell my jewelry here at this event. I was very pleased with Red's happy hour food and drinks during our date, and they also had great service!

There will be nearly 30 vendors set up in the Whole Foods parking lot. There will be live music at 1:30pm by performer Jamie Green! This event takes place on the first Saturday of every month, and this will be my 2nd time participating in this event.

I will personally be at the Whole Food's event, but make sure to stop by Springfest too! I've never been to Springfest (it was held for the first time last year), but it sounds like it will be a lot of fun.
